Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort will make history by accepting the largest wager in the State of Mississippi
Sing it with me M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I. That’s right the State of Mississippi is making history this week by The Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort in D’iberville accepting the largest live bet in the states history via their Draftkings sportsbook.
Jim ‘Mattress Mack’ McIngvale from Houston will place a $3.5M bet at DraftKings at Scarlet Pearl Sportsbook on the Astros to win the World Series. Scarlet Pearl/Draftkings offered +220 odds on the bet and the Astros are currently favored to win it all.
Mcingvale who was born in Starkville, MS owns the Gallery Furniture company has been busy promoting any customers who purchase an over $3,000 mattress set at his stores a cash rebate on their purchase or 150% of the pruchase in store credit if the Houston Astros win the world series. The bet placed would pay out $7.7m and would be a nice hedge against the $15m in rebates his company stands to pay out in rebates.
Gallery Furniture launched a similar promotion in 2017 when the Astros won it all and paid out $12m in rebates.
