Caesars Rewards Reintroduces New Diamond Tier Levels For 2020 Adding Diamond Plus and Diamond Elite Statuses

Long time VIP gamblers are well aware that the Caesars Rewards program is second to none when it comes to casino loyalty programs. The Caesars Rewards program (formerly Total Rewards®) has gone through many changes over the last several years. As a former Caesars employee, I have heard many times “All they do is take away from us” from countless players. Many times that is not the case, Caesars has added many partner programs over the last few years but the perceived value to customers is not always positive. Sometimes the player are right as Caesars did in fact take away a big benefit a few years ago, the Diamond Tier Levels (Aspirations).

There is a big disparity between being a Diamond member (15,000 tier credits earned in 1 year) and the prestigious Seven Stars status (150,000 Tier Credits). For online sportsbook wagerers who are new to the loyalty program game, every $10 wagered on Caesars Online Sportsbook equals 1 tier credit. By this math a gambler needs to wager $150,000 within a calendar year in order to earn Diamond Status and $1,500,000 to earn Seven Stars Status for which the benefits are unrivaled by any casino loyalty program.

What about the players somewhere in the middle? Players who wager $1,000,000 for instance, receive the same benefits of players who wagered $150,000. While money wagered does not always equal anywhere near money lost, you can be assured that the difference represents two entirely different types of gamblers. When Caesars did away with their Diamond Aspiration Levels 1 and 2 there was a serious gap in the benefits and related feeling of appreciation from their high level players.

The players voices have been heard and Caesars Rewards announced via email to their loyal patrons on October 7th 2019 that starting in the 2020 “Tier Year” they will be reintroducing new Diamond levels with a re-brand to Diamond Plus and Diamond Elite Status.

One can expect additional benefits to roll out for these new statuses on a per property basis. The high level benefits established so far have been communicated accordingly:

  • Caesars Rewards cardholders who reach 25,000 tier credits will receive an exclusive Diamond Plus players card, as well as unlimited complimentary access to Laurel Lounges [Diamond Plus]
  • Cardholders who reach 75,000 tier credits will receive an exclusive Diamond Elite card and a $600 airfare credit to Las Vegas. Cardholders who earn at least 75,000 tier credits by Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019, will be able to take advantage of this new airfare credit anytime from Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, through Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021.  [Diamond Elite]
  • If you purchase your own airfare ticket(s), you can get reimbursed in free slot or table play at your destination casino.

For now there are still no related online benefits to these reward statuses. Online players however, can go to any Caesars Rewards land based casino and have loyalty cards issued to take advantage of the benefits. They must first link their online accounts with their Caesars Rewards account.
